At the foundation of each piece is the intricate Korean technique of Kkeuneumjil—a painstaking process in which fine strips of mother-of-pearl are cut and hand-laid one by one.  Layered with precision, the nacre forms a dense, luminous structure that reveals both texture and geometry from every angle.

At its center rests a black pearl, its deep iridescence creating a striking contrast with the shifting light of the surrounding mother-of-pearl. Together, the two materials draw together darkness and luminosity, softness and structure, nature and precision.
